contents practice analysis

This contents page is from the ‘Q’ magazine, the contents page is set out the same throughout the magazine and the main colour for this magazine is red, black and white. There is 1 main image which covers up half the page, the image is at a long shot to show there fashion and style and who they are.
The writing goes down the left hand side to make it look neat and professional.
They make the page packed with information about the magazine and pages that will be inside to attract the readers and to see what is inside the magazine. There are subtitles under the page numbers to see the sections they cover in the magazine.

There are page numbers next to each page option to show how to find the page. There is a review column in the bottom right corner which has another longshot image. The ‘Q’ logo is on the contents page twice to show that it is from the magazine and follows a theme throughout.

This contents page is going to the same style as my music magazine will be that I am going to make. I like this contents page because the target audience is clearly for young adults around the age 15-25 for girls because it had bright pink colours which attract girls more. However I don’t like how this contents page has used too many pictures on the page (7 in total), it makes the page look messy and scattered about. If I added pictures on a contents page I would add about 2 pictures for the page to make it have more information. This contents page has a pink section on the left to make the page more colourful and interesting.
