On the bottom left picture there is the photo I took for my magazine and the top right picture is a photo I found from a real magazine feature article.

The similarities between these photos are that I made my model have the same posture and gesture as the real magazine I done this by getting her to sit in the same way as the real magazine by sitting on the floor with her knees up with arms wrapped round the legs, I done this to make it look more spread out and different to the rest of the pictures I took of them standing up and makes it look more relaxed and effortless. The expressions on both of the models faces have a small smile to make it look cheeky and a hint of flirting to appeal to the male audience as well. They both look straight at the camera again for that flirtatious mood again to attract the readers. I chose the same angle and shot type as a long shot by seeing her whole body and also at eye level to make the photo more realistic and not so fake. Both of the lighting in the photos uses bright colours to make it set a happier mood and a relaxed style to the magazine. Another similarity between both the pictures is that I tried to use the same sort of outfit which is a simple short white dress with heels and her hair down to make it look dressed up but relaxed as well by sitting down. I have reinforced a stereotype of women in short dresses and being flirtatious all the time, I done this to attract both of the target audiences so they can both be interested in it. I have represented the females as a ‘sex symbol’ by being flirty and trying to impress people by their costumes and heels. Both of these pictures shows the same class in them which is middle class because they both are relaxed and are more laid back with their body language than most models would pose like so the middle class could relate to them.

The differences between both of the pictures is that the posture is slightly different because in the real magazine the model has both of her arms wrapped round her legs which shows a shy and insecure mood but for my magazine I wanted the photo to be more show a more confident side and to make her body language more open, I done this by resting one of her arms on her knee to be more relaxed.

My music magazine has a pro-consumerist stance by it attracting the younger partying teenagers, in the press teenagers going out partying a lot are represented negatively however in my magazine they are represented positively because the subcultures are the target audience and the magazine is for them. My target audience are for the younger girls who go out drinking and partying on nights out, this is because a higher percentage of younger girls go out partying.
